Friday People day and to continue with photos from our Newcastle outing, I spotted this young lady at the other end of the wharf, talking on her mobile. She looked as though she had been stood up by her date and didn't look happy to be left standing in the rain.
This isn't the best photo, but she was quite a distance away and I had to zoom to get this. I just loved the outfit she was wearing. I hope her boyfriend turned up.
Oh, mean to stand up a girl when it is raining and all! Hope she had a good night out one way or another! Nice to be able to tell a story with a photo.
Nice candid shot Babs, she certainly looks dressed up to meet someone and is that a bottle of beer in her hand, or should I say amber nectar. Her tights are amazing.
Great shot...hoping those are stockings and not tats? Nothing against tats, but it seems like it would be very painful...and I am allergic to pain. Love her shirt..and it must at least be warm. She does look a bit agitated! Nice one!

@jaynspain Thanks Jayn. No she won't be freezing, it is summer here in Australia, well until the 1 March it was summer. We live in the southern hemisphere. and now as from the 1 March we are in autumn. The night this photo was taken it was around 25 degrees C which is about 77 degrees F. It probably looks cold because it had been raining and was a bit grey.
@jaynspain I should have said Newcastle New South Wales. Easy enough to think it was Newcastle on Tyne, especially as our Newcastle is a coal port too and an industrial city. Named after your Newcastle I suppose when the first settlers came here.
@sunraye Thanks Raye. It must have been serious, she left the restaurant which is just along the wharf to make this call. Hope her boyfriend turned up.
