Wait for us!! by onewing

Wait for us!!

Today is the first day of Autumn in Australia and it has poured with rain all day.

It is also the first day I have been home all week, so on the first day of Autumn I have decided to have a Spring clean. Always was a late developer!!

I have also finished writing up the calendar for the photo club events for the rest of the year and in the middle of everything else two friends dropped in (at different times). Consequently I haven't taken a photo today, so this is one I took at Stockton at the boat races recently. It just looked as though the ship was leaving minus a few of its passengers.

This month in my topics album I am going to post a photo each day of Port Stephens which is the area I live in. Today's photo is here http://365project.org/onewing/topics/2014-03-01
LoL, they do look like they missed the boat, great shot :-)

Also first day of autumn here, but someone forgot to tell the weather man. Still hot and dry, and desperate for rain.

@888rachel Thanks Rachel. We had rain for the last two days, much needed. It has stopped today though. Haven't had much rain this summer at all.

@hermann @jaynspain @marie65 @kathiecb @steampowered @joeyc @lafish Thanks to all of you. The big ship in the picture is a coal ship just leaving Newcastle. I believe it is called a capesize ship and is a bulk carrier. The other bulk carriers we get here I believe are classed as Panamax and are smaller, designed to travel through the Panama and Suez canals. Capesize were named because they had to pass through the Cape of Good Hope or Cape Horn.

I think the big boat won! Not even Navy rowers could catch up.
