Today we have been out to Maitland with the photo club, first we went to the Maitland Regional Art Gallery to see the International Salon of Photography Exhibition. Fantastic exhibition. Then we wandered around Maitland taking photos for a while and ended up at East Maitland Bowling Club for lunch, where for $16 they have an 'all you can eat' menu with a fantastic selection of foods. You just go round and pile whatever you want onto your plate. I managed beef with black bean sauce, honey chicken, pizza squares, chicken vol au vent, spring roll, calamari and special fried rice followed by apple crumble and custard, peaches, lemon slice and pavlova. Don't think I am going to eat again for a week, or maybe two.
This street art picture of the children's game scissors, paper, rock was on a wall just next to the Art Gallery.
After such a busy week I am hopefully going to have a whole day at home tomorrow, can't wait.
I will catch up tomorrow with all your photos and thank you so much for checking out mine.
I have got a splitting headache tonight but will try and do a bit of catching up a bit later tonight if I can. I am exhausted though.
We have just Skyped the grandchildren and now I am going to watch the news on television.
I have just realized that we turn the clocks back tonight which is just what I need, an extra hour in the day.
Great shot here, Babs! So glad you mentioned the photography exhibition at Maitland. I'll have to make an effort to try and get there. That's a wonderful gallery!
@angelat Thanks Angela. You will have to be quick to see the photo exhibition it finished tomorrow (Sunday 6th April). Open till 5 pm though if you are quick. Fabulous exhibition and the digital display is fantastic too. Well worth sitting there and checking out that selection.
@hermann Thanks Sally. Don't think I am going to eat today. Although I had a variety of foods they weren't huge amounts of each, so it isn't quite as bad as it sounds ha ha. Well maybe just a bit.
@elaine55 Thanks Elaine. Feeling much better today thanks. After such a busy couple of weeks I think my neck had suffered somewhat and that caused the headache. Maybe need more physio.
@lilminimonka@chimfa@lindsaydaisyboo@kathiecb@april16@ginnykoppenhol@happysnap@bizziebeeme Thank you all so much. Woke up this morning feeling much better thanks. I think the last couple of weeks have been so busy here that my neck has suffered. I have got a whole day at home today, oh bliss so will be able to catch up on 365.
don't think I am going to eat much today!!!
I did a whole month of street art in my topics album in January if anyone is interested http://365project.org/onewing/topics/2014-01-01
I love street art when it is done properly.
Now to catch up on your photos.
@iwatts@lafish Thanks so much. I thought of you Ian when I spotted this one.
Thanks Laurie for the fav.
Hopefully I will be able to catch up on 365 today. Been so hectic here the last couple of weeks and last night my head and neck suffered terribly. Feel much better today though.
Waaaay cool! Great spotting! As much as graffiti is a destructive in so many ways, it can also be a beautiful art form...quite often at others expense. I think this type is different then "tagging", but if you a property owner who is a victim you may not appreciate it.
@eyesmile Thanks Gena. I agree. The street art which I took for a month in January were all at designated places and this one is too. It is on a shipping container which is attached to a building and was a commissioned artwork too.
I cant see the point of tagging either and people who do this need to do community service and clean up their mess too in my opinion.
