I have got another busy week so I am posting a collection of photos which I took at Newcastle last Thursday.
While David was in the model railway shop I wandered along the wharf and this is some of the shots I took.
Top left - Queens Wharf
Top right - Railway crossing
Centre left - Wharf apartments
Centre right - Crowne Plaza
Bottom left - Railway bridge
Bottom right - Reaching for the moon
This doesn't look remotely like my first Newcastle, the one that nestles between The Mourne Mountains in N I, or my second Newcastle near the iconic Angel of the North. Fun aside Babs I love this collage, maybe I'll try a Newcastle one of my own next time I'm home.
@golftragic Thanks Marnie. The wharf and the tower have featured before in my Newcastle shots and I thought I'd better include the railway before it disappears for good.
@pcoulson Thanks so much Peter. I took so many photos on Thursday I thought I would never be able to show them all individually, so always a good idea to put them in a collage. I love walking along the wharf.
@derekvickers Thanks Derek, it is so good that there is a mixture of old and new in Newcastle. Some of the old buildings were lost in the 1989 earthquake.
@ceilidh Thanks Margret. Look forward to your Newcastle shots. So many Newcastle's around the world. I have seen photos of the
Angel of the North, but never seen it for real.
How wonderful to have so much to photograph in one area. Must admit I wouldn't have been in the model railway shop either, but out with my camera like you were!
Another wonderful Collage Babs, I love you image of Newcastle and the info along with then, I'm on catch up, only got home last night then went to the zoo today;)
