Street Art - Askew by onewing

Street Art - Askew

We have been in Newcastle all day today as David had a medical appointment.

This photo is one of the street art exhibits from the Hit the Bricks festival last year. It has been painted by street artist Askew who is New Zealand born with over 20 years experience. He is recognised worldwide for his unique approach to graffiti art and remains at the forefront of the international art scene through constantly exploring new, exciting styles. Askew is self-taught in graphic design, illustration, photography, publishing, directing and
editing moving images.

I like that you've included some of the surroundings as well to give it some context.

Great shot of this bright artwork. Some people are very clever! That must be really hard to paint something so big, and get it right!

@beachdog I am amazed too. I did a month of street art photos in my topics album in January this year and January last year too I think and a lot of those were from the Hit the Bricks festivals. some of the artworks are done with the artist standing in a cherry picker.

It's really a striking image -- especially with the context of being on the side of a hotel. What an intriguing work of street art! You should tag it for street-5 theme.
