Today we have been to the Maitland Steamfest and here you see David standing next to two photos of trains. The top photo is one that David entered for a competition for photos of trains that have taken part in Steamfest over the years.
14 photos were selected from a total of about 350 submitted and printed on metal boards for display around the station and he was delighted that his photo was one of the fourteen.
Thanks to everyone who commented on David's Fort Scratchley gun firing photo yesterday. He was really pleased to discover that it appeared on the TP and the PP.
That photo, together with this one today means that he really is world famous now. Hope it doesn't go to his head. ha ha.
There is a bit of glare on this photo but that couldn't be helped as the sun was unfortunately in the wrong place at the wrong time.
congratulations David !...this is really cool to have your pic on a billboard...fantastic image too...well done...well deserved TP PP also...not quite ready for world domination...but close!... :o) fav
What a wonderful acknowledgement to have the photo on display! It definitely looks great, even though there is a bit of glare. Hope you had a great day.
David was really pleased to see his photo up on display. I am not sure if it will be a permanent fixture, but it may be. They do all look quite solidly placed, we will have to wait and see.
He is coping very well with his worldwide fame, more the quiet achiever than the fire and brimstone type of person.
