Checking Out Lunch by onewing

Checking Out Lunch

For the first time in a month we have had rain today, not much mind. Thunder storm this afternoon but virtually no rain and then when the storm passed we had a few spits.

No photos today because it has been another busy day.

David was sorting through old photos looking for one in particular, when he came across this photo which he took while out with the birdwatching group quite a while ago.

I thought it would be interesting to post it today. I know it isn't one of my photos, but while David and his birdwatching pals were eating their lunch in a park at Mungo Brush just north of Hawks Nest, this wild dingo just wandered past in front of them.

I suspect that it was keeping a sly eye on the brush turkey in the background and thinking 'lunch'.

Don't know if the turkey survived.
Well captured!

I remembered seeing these turkeys when we were in Noosa .. their tails are the wrong way around
. The Dingo looks well fed so he may not bother with a turkey lunch..

I think that turkey is leading a charmed life!

I think the dingo is trying to look cool & uninterested in that turkey, I think they are both pretty much aware of each other! Great capture David!

December 6th, 2016
@jmdspeedy ha ha, not sure how long the brush turkey will last once the dingo is feeling hungry.
December 6th, 2016
@jesperani Not for long I suspect.
December 6th, 2016
@quietpurplehaze I feel its days are numbered though.

@happypat You are right. Dingos are very bright and sneaky, brush turkeys aren't the brightest and I suspect its days are numbered.
