Dots and Stripes by onewing

Dots and Stripes

I haven't set foot outside today because of the heat.

I have been playing with photos in Photoshop. This photo is actually a collage. I started off with a photo of black and white striped wrapping paper and another photo of black and white dotted wrapping paper and then played with each of them in Filters with Photoshop.

I wanted to see what each of the 'distort' filters looked like eg. ripple, twirl, wave, zig zag etc and then put them together in a collage.

The top row are the stripe photos, the second the dot photos and the third a combination of the two.

I played with a few more distortions too and tomorrow I will post a photo combining the shapes I came up with.

I have a feeling that we are heading for a thunder storm this evening. The sky is so heavy and the humidity is up to 92% according to the weather forecast. Not comfortable at the moment at all.

Thanks so much to everyone who commented and fav'd my "We're melting" photo yesterday and for putting it on the PP.
Brilliant images - looks like a patchwork quilt.

This is fun, it certainly messes with the eyes. Hope you cool down soon. We have dropped 20 degrees since yesterday and have had some rain today, it has been quite refreshing.

I have not set a foot outside because it is far too cold, rain, sleet, and snow is forecast, nice work with photoshop.

@dide @deborah63 @beryl @nicolecampbell @gilbertwood @gigiflower @quietpurplehaze @olenadole @cruiser @hermann @peterday thanks. There is method in my madness with this photo. I added a few more shapes and tomorrow you will see what I did with them all.

The good news is that the temperature has dropped this evening to 22 degrees c the bad news is that we have had a little bit of rain and the humidity is at 92%. A cooler but very sticky night ahead.
