If you checked out yesterday's photo of the Inner Light Tearoom, this is the view we had of the Heads while we were eating our scones and drinking tea and coffee.
On this side of the bay the sea is quite calm and sheltered most of the time, but once out through the Heads you are in the open ocean and it can get quite rough.
The Inner Light lighthouse is no longer operational and the only lighthouse now is at Fingal Bay just off to the right of this scene.
the headland on the left of the picture is Yacaaba Headland and the headland on the right is Tomaree Headland. David and I have climbed to the top of both of these heads in the past, but I think my knees prefer much shorter climbs now.
The tiny island in the centre is a bird and seal sanctuary and in uninhabited. It is called Boondelbah Island.
Today has been another mild winters day, temperature reaching around 19 or 20 degrees c.
How lovely to see the view from yesterday's photo, glad you enjoyed tea & scones in that lovely little tearoom. Superb view, so beautiful, a view to die for!
So lovely. You can look on these places with affection knowing that you have done the climbs. All three islands would seem to be well worth a visit. Lovely scenic capture.
Today has been a hot summer's day with temperatures around 19 to 20 degrees C..
