We have had a rather busy day to day clearing up after the massive hail storm last night.
Yesterday was a very hot day and around 6 pm a massive storm hit with hail the size of golf balls.
Today we have been sweeping up the damage and chopping broken limbs from our trees. Luckily no damage to the house or the cars as far as we can see.
It has been another rather warm day, but at least cooler than it has been the last week. Still pretty windy too, so that made sweeping up leaves and twigs rather difficult as they were being blown around in the wind. We have managed to clean up most of the damage though.
I had the idea for this photo a while ago, but it wasn't until last night that I had chance to put it all together. I am pleased with the result and it looks quite nice on black.
Glad to hear that there wasn't any damage to your house. It has been very windy here again today and very cold. I am so glad I called the SES out yesterday, as I am sure the tarp would have gone flying down the street.
You are so creative Babs. This is marvelous on black, as you said. When we have hail itâs alwsys our roofs that have to be replaced, maybe you lucked out and your roof is fine.
Jeff spent yesterday picking up most of the twigs and branches which came down from our last three storms. There is a huge pile of twigs next to the wood pile now. Glad those hail stones did not damage much- I've only seen that size on video. The largest we ever had was the size of a corn kernel. This is really clever- merged perfectly!
