Another Mystery Flower by onewing

Another Mystery Flower

No time for photos so far today because a friend and I took Elizabeth (John's widow) out for lunch. We had a lovely time and Elizabeth is always very jolly.

As some of you know Elizabeth has Alzheimer's disease and although she had a pleasant day today, I doubt she will remember tomorrow where she has been.

Here is another mystery flower taken a few weeks ago that I forgot to post. No idea what it is, can somebody identify this one for me please.

I really enjoyed my salt and pepper squid and salad for lunch today and now I am going for a late afternoon walk on the beach to walk off the extra calories.

What a fabulous flower! No idea what it is though......an iris shape to the petals but not the centre. Lovely colour.

Such a pretty flower and lovely colour. Your Elizabeth reminds me of a book I read "Elizabeth is Missing by Emma Healey". A fabulous eye opener ;-)

A mystery flower to me too - but so beautiful! fav
September 12th, 2018
Very intense blue.

Reminds me of a wildflower we used to call Day Lily (very small and much different from the large orange ones that grow abundantly along the roadside) but since I'm in a different hemisphere, I'm guessing it's not the same. I'd go with the other two expert opinions over mine! Nice shot and I like what Valerie said about your lunch with Elizabeth- sometimes the blessing is in just bringing someone joy.

Don't have a clue what it is Babs, but I'd love a top in that blue.

@casablanca @dianeb @777margo @louannwarren @gosia @hermann @joemuli @bkbinthecity @paul10 @merrelyn @mittens @henrir @craftymeg @carolmw @sarahlth @tonygig @carole_sandford @radiogirl @happypat @angelar @suzanne234 @maggiemae @yaorenliu @olivetreeann @golftragic @haskar @happysnaps Thanks. I think Sally and Merrelyn have nailed it. Looking it up on Google I think it is a Commelina diffusa http://www.saveourwaterwaysnow.com.au/01_cms/details_pop.asp?ID=1221
Elizabeth did enjoy her lunch out and we have a lovely time with her.
@ludwigsdiana I will have to check out the book Diana.
@pcoulson I think Sal has the right name. Don't know if the one you mention is a variety of the same flower or not.

@helenhall Maybe not too many calories with that meal, but we are out for dinner on Saturday and lunch on Sunday too, so I need to do plenty of walking this week.

September 13th, 2018
Not the same Babs, my incorrect Comesperma is more like a bush flower, well done Sally @hermann and Merrelyn @merrelyn for getting it spot on:)
September 13th, 2018
I do love the color!
