Thanks so much for putting yesterday's little planet camels on the tp and the pp. I think little planet photos are quite addictive.
A busy day today and we are out this evening as it is David's birthday.
Here is a photo taken at Birubi while Deb was here. We saw this chap trotting along the beach and then he came close to us and through the dunes.
Just after taking this photo the clouds went black and we had a downpour that lasted all of about 5 minutes, but by the time we got back to the car we were soaked.
This is a great shot. I actually didn't realize this was a beach at first and thought why would he be out in the middle of nowhere like this. Nicely captured.
@pcoulson Thanks Peter. He may be another year older but I am not so sure about wiser.
@lynne5477 Yes it is Stockton Beach and the dunes go all the way from here at Anna Bay to Newcastle about 25 km.
@casablanca Thanks. Indeed it does look clear and we didn't see the rain coming either. The ocean is behind us and it was just a quick cloudburst off the sea and then it was sunny again. We just happened to be under the wrong cloud.
This is so interesting to me because I don't think of soft sand being able to support the weight of a sulky and rider. But it looks much sturdier on your beach than the kind I'm used to. Good shot!
@helenhall Thanks Helen I will pass on your good wishes to
David.
We didn't see the rain coming either. It just came off the ocean which is behind us and only lasted five minutes and then the sky was blue again. Just a quick cloudburst.
@olivetreeann On this part of the beach, the sand is packed quite tight because there is always lots of traffic from people walking to the ocean, camel rides and horse rides. It is only when you get to the dune part of the beach that the sand is very soft and you just sink into the sand. Hard work climbing over the dunes.
@golftragic Thanks Marnie, I didn't sing either. ha ha.
And happy birthday to David!
Ian
