Oh yes Babs - these are my "birthday flowers". Each year they open up just in time for my birthday - and we have dozens of them that we inherited when we bought our house 28 years ago. They are so colourful - very cheerful. :)
@robz How lovely to have them flowering for your birthday. We were given these hippeastrum by a friend and they are in flower beds on the other side of our house. We split those and put them on this side when we had to replace the flowers in this bed a couple of years ago.
@terryliv Yes they don't flower for long but they do look lovely while they are flowering.
@happypat This isn't our drive way it is just one side of our house. There is another flower bed on the other side of the pavers and then our house is to the right of that.
There is another patio area just behind where I have taken this photo where the garden widens out and then a paved area behind the house and our back fence.
We also have another garden area at the front of our house,(on the other side of the fence at the end of this path) then lots of trees. On the other side of our house is our main garden area where the lawn, trees, flower beds, shed, bird feeders and bird bath is and our patio on that side too.
