Nice Brickwork by onewing

Nice Brickwork

I am not very well up on churches, but I think this is the Catholic Church in Morpeth. I just loved the brickwork.

I Googled it but couldn’t find much about it apart from the following:

The Church of the Immaculate Conception was erected in 1897. Father Corcoran was the Parish Priest here for 54 years. His grave is at the back of the church.

Great piece of architecture, I guess that is lichen over the roof and fence :-)

My catholic primary school shares the same name as this church except the church by our school and from which it got its name was covered in grey flint! Nice brickwork and I also like that old wall.

I really like the strong lines in this shot Babs, and the gritty detail you've captured.

Beautiful architecture Babs. I love how churches of most all religions have such great detail and structure.

beautiful building and dramatic brickwork! Nicely captured! Guess it could do with a bit of maintenance work to remove all that lichen.
