Posting a bit early today because we are out for Christmas eve drinks later this afternoon and evening at a friends house.

This photo isn't the best in the world and I took it a couple of months ago, but I wanted to post it to show just how tall Gymea lilies grow. They look like beacons.

These look taller than you. Definitely lily leaves but the flower is very foreign.

@pcoulson ha ha. I think it could be a bit of a struggle getting these in a vase. Maybe need a giant Santa to help out.

@kathiecb Thanks Kathie. They are indigenous to the coast of New South Wales and can grow to over 6 metres tall. They are a wonderful sight and look like beacons in the bushland.
