You nailed the focus this time... maybe a brighter scene? I shot a couple of rolls of Tri-X 400 last week .. but they are still sitting in my desk drawer!
@yrhenwr I can't really remember. Do you make notes when you shoot film, like which settings you used and the like? I forgot to set my ISO to 400 and left it on 250.
@overalvandaan I make notes if I'm doing indoor work - studies of flowers etc - which is a very slow process for me. Forgetting to set the ISO is a common mistake when using old cameras... but film, unlike digital, is very forgiving. 400 to 200 represents only 1 stop, so you were less than 1 stop under-exposed. I use Palm Laboratories in Birmingham and tell them if I shot the film at a different ISO. You can deliberately use ISOs different to the rated value on some films. You can set the ISO for Tri-X to 800 or even 1600 for work in lower light.. but they need to know that (and of course you have to stay with it for the whole film)
