When we moved here in 1996 there was an ancient apple tree. It was leaning and fell in 2004 but still produces a lot of apples each year, and blackberry vines tangle in it and the redwoods it is under drop cones into its branches. Every September a bear comes in and devours the apples and leaves mounds of apple core filled bear scat, but can't steal the ones from over 8 feet up so about half of them are safe. I get pies and apple sauce and bags for the friends.
"If you want to make an apple pie from scratch, you must first create the universe." -- Carl Sagan
"Millions saw the apple fall, but Newton was the one who asked why." -- Bernard M. Baruch
Wednesdays in September are supposed to be the same setting, I think they meant camera setting because there is a same place, but I chose to do a collage of pictures taken over time at the same setting, as in place
Fantastic collage ... love the way that time has changed the tree and yet it still keeps producing. Sort of like the way we humans always try to bounce back throughout life. An admirable lesson here. I love Sagan's quote. I can't back a pie from scratch to save my life!!
same setting, same scene, they're the same! it's how we interpret the rules so you do how you want your album to look like. i love the story of the apple tree. and i look forward to the next installment of the story :-)
