same-september Wednesdays I am interpreting same settings as the same place instead of the same camera setting so this is pictures from my sunflower patch over the years. Only the two on the bottom left are from this year as they have barely started blooming and are usually a bit later in September here. The slugs were bad here and the nonstop rainy spring washed away all the repeat slug baits I tried so I planted 60 this year and got 8 and 4 are tiny, red ornamentals.
I love sunflower photos....can you tell by all my sunflower favs? ;-) This is such a wonderful and most entertaining display of these beauties. Another fav.
@mittens@olivetreeann yes, here we have blue Jays (stellars Jays) and they turn themselves up, down and sideways trying to get every last seed. I grow these as much for the birds as for the blooms. They extend the pleasure another month.
is there a doll's face in one of the flowers on the uppermost left photo? or maybe my eyes are playing tricks on my mind again. lovely collage, and i love all the photos in it.
