I loved this field when we moved in near-by back in 1996. It has a small creek that swells in the rainy season, and leads to a huge lake that breaches occasionally into the pacific. There are cows and ducks and heron and fish that love brackish water. It changes daily but what caught my eye at first was the huge old deadwood trees, and as first one and then the other collapsed over time, I have mourned their skeletal presence in a way that makes little sense but is no less real because of that.

Some really fabulous shots here....so interesting to see the different views. Well done and something I've been more aware of since being on 365....the changes in every day scenes.
Very lovely collage, Dixie. It looks like such a pretty place there. I really like all the different coloring in the shots. The rainbow one is really cool.
