Showing the other people I am Thankful for on Saturdays felt wrong to not include students, but I have a policy to never post school pictures with kids in it because it is after all a pretty public place. So I compromised by choosing a picture of students I was teaching in 1989 so they are adults now.
that seems like a very good activity, i can see the concentration in the girl's face. the other day, we saw a woman with two very nice children and the way they were walking and what seemed an animated conversation really made for a good picture. partner wanted me to photograph the scene. i refused. i can take sneak shots of adults, and will make they're not so easily identifiable. but children, i would have to ask permission especially if the parent is present, or i would have a lot of sleepless nights from guilt.
This is great! Nice to see the children who are now adults out in the world. Time goes by so quickly and how great to have these photos to relive old memories.
Great policy and fun picture! When we were at the butterfly garden back in August, a young girl came up with this huge butterfly resting on her palm and asked me if I wanted to take a picture of her with the butterfly. Her mom was right there so I just confirmed that it was ok- but with all the potential for harm through easy access on the internet, you're spot on with the policy. Also in this picture, the faces are far enough away as to remove any details. It's a nice flash back- and it looks like a great project too!
