Thanksgiving seems like one of the most honest, best holidays we celebrate. It is the time we travel miles to be with the people who mean the most and indulge in all the food we love even when we are groaning from the very idea of one more bite.
We know we love the people and we know we are eating too much, and we know we have been blessed with more than our share and more than we could possibly have earned and for once we admit that so much of what we have is an undeserved and cherished gift
We know we are Thankful for being who we are, where we are, and I love being me.
Love the sentiment. Many are very fortunate to fully understand what they have in their lives but so many others cannot find anything. It is only when we allow ourselves to admit what truly means the most to us that we begin to accept all that we have. Happy Thanksgiving all year long. :-)
@hoosierhokie Trust me. Ford was outside while I hauled firewood. Curled up by the stove while I cooked and under the table while I ate. For a blind dog he can always find me.
Your narrative inspires me....lovely thoughts! Your really got some great shots in there of your family on Thanksgiving. The food looks wonderful, too! So happy you had a nice day, Dixie.
