Because we are talking about using all black and white in Flash of Red in February, I started looking at the mode's in my camera. I got it for a birthday gift in July but can't find Black and White on it. Yes I can convert on the computer, but seriously it does this and posterizes and sparkles and panoramic a bunch of strange effects, but not sepia or B & W?
does it have colour select? if it does, you can set it to select grey or black so that when it takes a photo everything will be black and white. however, this looks fabulous! hey, you can do a whole month of fabulous photos like this!
Great sketch mode shot. I had forgotten that Flash of Red was supposed to be Black and white. Oh my! I will have to convince myself to do Black and White.
@summerfield my cell phone does have black & white and so does my old camera and I store my pictures in iPhoto on my mac and it does too, so I can work around that anyway.
My little Canon has color, b/w and sepia. The Nikon that was given to me (which is supposed to be a superior camera) only has color and b/w. So in a way I'm not surprised that your camera doesn't have sepia. But b/w seems odd to not be included. But I wonder if you can play around with this setting and give it more contrast. Whatever, this is a really cool effect!
I rather like this effect.....very interesting!! I usually don't do themes or challenges so not too familiar with this project. All my best on some great Feb shots, though!
