My Dad's drippy wax on the old bottle candle. i remember back in the day before we had a tv, he would come home from work and sit at the kitchen table and light the candle and tip it and direct the wax droplets while he sat and talked to mom and I. talk about low tech entertainment when people really connected with the people in the room instead of with the gadget.
The red glass lantern was my grandmas overwhelming gift to me. For years she bought this set, one piece at a time until I have a huge, 12 piece dining set with everything you can imagine in the red pressed glass cape cod design from. Who else? Ding Dong, Avon calling
three good things
1. In November lots of people are listing their good things
2. There is a roof over my head even though my van window got stuck open
3. My husband just walked in the door
I have the Cape Cod glasses and 2 serving bowls as accent pieces to my mother's china set. I used to sell Avon too- that's when I bought them. Avon has been with our family a LONG time!! Nice treasures!
