My Great Uncles Beightol

The Beightol Brothers, Clarence, Orville and Carl ca 1934

Carl Died in the service as I mentioned on the picture of him as a chid. Orville married a school teacher, and they adopted a young boy from Germany, who at 5, spoke no English. Unfortunately, just after getting out of the marines, their son hit a drunk driver who was sitting at a country intersection on a moonless night, in a dark car with no lights on, and both died. Clarence never married, but took care of the family dairy/hog farm and their mother until she died at 98, and then he lived into his late 80's on the farm in Illinois with Orville coming daily to share the work.
Wonderful old picture of your uncles. Interesting and sad story of the young boy, but exemplary of the way your uncle continued taking care of his mother and farm.

Fantastic photo of them. My if they'd concocted a story about what their lives would be like I don't think any of them would have thought of those!

@olivetreeann exactly what I think when I see these hopeful, even cocky young men.
