October 1975 our final sibling was born. Lance was a delightful baby but a fearful amount of worry as he was born with Down's syndrome and the specialists had only gloom and doom predictions. So my family ignored the specialists and said, well we can't fix him, so we will just love him like we do the rest of the family.
@aglennc not good, back in ICU, turned 40 in there yesterday. They are hoping to transfer him to a micro robotics unit at UVA to get a mini camera to explore his abdomen
I don't put much stock in the "experts" for the most part. In my mind you take everything with a grain of salt! Good for your parents- they obviously knew what they were doing! I sent Lance a birthday card the other day. It'll be a little late, but I hope it will make him smile.
