40th Birthday and update
So today, Friday the 23, it sounded like they were going to send Lance home again with ten days of intravenous antibiotics that my brother Brett would have to administer through a picc line, but even before he had been out of ICU in a regular room for long, he was getting groggy, and his eyes were changing color, and he was not eating, so he isn't going home. Instead, he has an appointment in a month for a scan by robotics at another hospital. They are going to try to get him transferred there and have the scan rushed through because they are starting to think he won't survive the month if they don't get answers before then. So home is out, and the 40th birthday will, hopefully be spent in transit from one hospital to another. Still no idea the source of this intense infection.
Sorry to hear that Lance has had a set back. I hope that they are able to find the source of his infection and give the appropriate treatment. It is always a trying time when a loved one is in hospital for such a long time. Keeping Lance, you and your family in my thoughts.
