My new band and my brother and I were exploring the redwoods not long after I had gotten married and moved from Wyoming to Ashland, Oregon. A few months after the move we decided to drive to the coast and were amazed to see the highway signs labeling it, "Redwood Highway" My husband had never seen redwoods.
We found an abandoned gravel road from the highway to the river, and a bunch of gorgeous redwoods there. For my extra Album in April I am going to show this road, as it has evolved, and now that I only live 4 miles from it, I have been there a lot.
Oh, and my husband's oldest sister gave him that T-shirt, which reads, "A man of quality is not threatened by a woman for equality." No wonder I loved her.
