Grandma Nadine by pandorasecho

Grandma Nadine

Today, at 11:00 at Crescent City Foursquare, we will be attending the celebration of the life of the woman who taught our kids they could cut broccoli and peel and eat the stalks, grow carrots and drink from a garden hose. Who enticed them to try peacock and possum, who fed them caviar for breakfast (all from her imagination) who drove a backhoe at 70 for the first time to plant a tree while the toddlers chanted, "Grandma's going to dig a hole." The woman who told me, don't worry about anyone kidnapping your baby, I just put my rifle of the mantle and he'll have to get him over my dead body. The lady who could tuck a two year old under each arm and stand up from sitting cross legged on the floor when she was 75. Loved and adored by the daycare family she United, even 22 years later. Love you Nadine. Writing in my novel, I come upon the rescue ship which has been un-named until now and realize she has to be, "The Lady Nadine."
So sorry for your loss. Sounds like a wonderful lady.

My sympathy and loving thoughts go out to you and your family upon the loss of this special woman. She may be gone from this world, but a part of her lives in your memory and all the things she taught you.
