This is one of the docents at the Heritage Museum. I love that they dress the part for special days such as this. He was speaking to visitors inside as we stopped at the front parlor where he was stationed. I asked him if he was dressed for an event or was this something a man of his time and social stature would have worn as everyday attire. I learned that an upper-middle-class man would have dressed like that on a daily basis whenever he went out. Very dapper, he was.
A little while later I was walking back past this house and I noticed him coming out the front door, very much in character. He descended the steps and struck a dignified pose, pretending he didn't notice the onlookers stopping to take photos.
