My second attempt at street photography I watched this fellow taking a video of Lincoln Castle on his mobile phone got in close without his knowledge and took the shot. question is that invading his privacy/ personal space photographing his screen?

I don't think so. He was in the open and you were on public property. Nice shot.

Reading the above from Vera, you look OK .I am about to try some street photography at the local market this coming Sunday. I don,t feel totally comfortable with it. You could try a line i have been given. "Smile if you had sex this morning". Nearly everyone smiles you know you,re safe and they are telling fibs.If you get things thrown at you you know its going to be a bad day !!!

@peterlgrave Best of luck on Sunday Peter, I almost always say something nice about their appearance or outfit and the reason for taking the shot not had many turn me down, not so sure about your opening line may work well in Oz possibly get a slap in the UK:)

Its a great shot! The tutor on a course I did earlier this year suggested carrying a Model Release Form when doing street photography - just to be on the safe side
