@beryl Thank you for your lovely comments Beryl, we were on our way back home yesterday and made a detour to visit Wasdale one of my favourite places in the Lake District because it was such a lovely day and I wanted to get some photographs taken as you can see it was well worth the few extra miles:)
@onewing Thank you Babs for your comments, you can only drive about a couple miles to the Wasdale Head at the far end of the lake and there the road ends in the pub car park, its the starting point for many walks a climbs including Scafell Pike the highest mountain in England:)
@peterlgrave Thank Peter for your great comments, England is full of trees everywhere and now you have to get permission to chop them down, we also have forest's maintained by the forestry commission with a massive tree planting campaign
like this shot the lake is two hundred feet above sea level and large trees have been removed over the years for grazing suspect the same is the case for other landscapes you have seen in the UK:)
