Natwest Bank by pcoulson

Natwest Bank

This is the Natwest Bank building in Halifax West Yorkshire bathed in strong sunlight on a very cold winters day.
You have some impressive architecture near you and, currently, some very blue skies!

@quietpurplehaze Thank you Hazel the town is full of great architecture unfortunately can't always get a clear shot of it, we have had lovely blues sky's but is very cold and windy may have to resort to getting my gloves out and maybe get a hat:)

@gilbertwood Thank you Denise for your comments, tried to get some information about the building without success, Halifax information centre closed until Tuesday and nothing on the internet:)

Fabulous architecture. Banks always have the most elaborate buildings don't they. Nice to see what they are doing with our money.

@onewing Thank you Babs, could not find anything about when it was built all I know it was a bank originally Natwest retail and commercial bank was established in 1968 by the merger of National Provincial Bank (established 1833 as National Provincial Bank of England) and Westminster Bank (established 1834 as London County and Westminster Bank). so could have been one of those:)

Oh, wow, the light and detail are amazing. Great perspective too Peter! Nobody does architecture like Peter!

@stray_shooter Thank you so much for your lovely comments Ron, it was one of those sunny winter days the light was harsh but picked out the detail in the stone ( camera set on ISO 200, f22 and 1/250 sec)
