This is an external stairway light converted from gas to electricity even has a low energy lamp fitted, thought I better make the effort and post at least one monochrome image for b&w February,

This is really nice Peter.. love the gradation of tones and the composition too. this definitely fits the bill for b&w.. loving the textures in the wall/stone.
@jorlam Thank you very much for your kind words, It was such a miserable foggy start didn't think I would get out and about, ended up driving to Bradford just wondered around the Cathedral grounds looking for a subject to suit black and white tones:)
@onewing Thank you for your comments and admission Babs, I wonder when they were phased out, I can't remember ever seeing gas street lighting, my have to put that one down to poor memory on my part, lol:)
