@peadar I had to wear a suit and tie Monday - Friday for many years - I can't begin to tell you what relief I had when business attire went causal here in the States! I have quite the tie collection, but I probably don't wear one but once a year anymore.
@soboy5 Danny, it's interesting. All the Head Office boys have stopped wearing ties, but us guys out there on the front line still feel it's what the customer expects!
Some lovely colours on those ties, Peter! Nice focus and pov, as well. I think the smart thing would be to choose the next day's clothes the previous evening, but guess twice if I have ever been able to do that? Yeah, so I do the whole wardrobe crisis thing every morning half awake, too, so I feel your pain with the ties. :) I'm sure you look quite dapper every day, in any case! :)
@joa Johanna, thank you, I have to say that I haven't heard the word "dapper" in many a year, and I am impressed that someone who has English as a 2nd language has it in their vocabulary. Yes, well, we're getting into very personal territory, but I do iron my shirts a week in advance, but the rest of it has to be pot luck on the day!!!
@peadar :D Well, I have read a fair share of historical fiction etc. in English, so my vocabulary is quite an eccentric mix of mid-90's American stuff and Austen-era British wordings. ;) And having either studied or used the language actively for, umm, 25 years, some oddities have indeed found their way into my head. Dapper's one of them. ;) (And oh my, you're one to admire - a week in advance? Wow. I hate to admit it that any and all ironing I do, it's also in the morning, one shirt at a time! Hahah!)
Love your use of really shallow dof..... That's a cool collection if ties, I like your colour sense..... And can't see any gravy blobs or tomato ketchup down them either (roy always seems to get a blob of something on a tie and ruin it!) 14 days and counting? I shall miss your support if you aren't around Peter, you have been with me almost from day 1!
@helixconcepts Thanks, Laura J.
@masosy Thank you, Kate.
