Swathes of yellow by peadar

Swathes of yellow

It's that time of year when the rapeseed is starting to flower, bathing the UK countryside in swathes of yellow. Although it's a very attractive and photogenic sight, actually the crop itself is pretty boring. It has an acrid perfume, and the honey from bees feeding on it is pretty bland. Apparently it is one of the oldest known sources of vegetable oil.
great capture, want to walk on that path to see where it will take me

Nice leading line and colors. Here there are entire carpets of yellow in the fields. I haven’t dared to take a picture yet, because it isn’t easy to find the right composition

@peadar yes...lovely pic. We have lots of lovely viaducts in Cornwall (built by Mr Brunel)........

A lovely scene, but saly for me the rapeseed flowering triggers my hay fever, so I prefer to see it from a distance!

This stuff always makes my nose twitch. Luckily not grown in my village so can open my windows. Really like the path leading through.
