We had an item delivered on a wood pallet. Everyone (that is, Miriam) thought it would be a good idea if we recycled the pallet... My experience of construction is limited to 00 gauge model railways, so this is as good as it gets!
The plant is "miscanthus sinensis zebrinus", an ornamental grass which apparently grows to 1.5m, although that's difficult to believe looking at it now!
Yelena wanted to do the same a few months ago, so we got a few pallets from the trash. Then we realized we didn't move a saw. Her dad bought her a handsaw.. It worked... but yours does look a lot better!
