It's snowing...again. I think this is the fourth snowfall we've had this winter. I know everyone in colder climates is probably sick of snow shots. But, it's still a big deal here in the South.
I'm behind a day with posting so this is posted as yesterday. But it really is snowing today. :)
Love it. Was bout to do yesterday too :-) btw Mom and Christine getting tons of snow --one in TN and one in Miss. They too find it a big deal! So glad it's just rain here--But news just said some of the burbs are getting flurries.
Thanks for the lovely comments, everyone! It's a good thing I got out early this morning to take this photo. We had about a 30 minute snow flurry. :) Just long enough for me to snap a few shots and discover that during the night bandits made off with the planters on either side of my front door. They each had a cute little evergreen tree that were doing so well. :( It wasn't long ago that my bird feeder was ripped off. Seriously, I can see my car being stolen...but planters and bird feeders? The perils of urban living. Sorry about the rant ~ I've been fuming all day. :)
@smith Thanks for the comments, Bob. Yes, I did use a flash. It was still pretty dark out. I loved the way the flash was lighting up the snowflakes...I took a ton of shots just because I was having so much fun with my little light show.
@girlie Thanks for commiserating, Robin. I think the neighborhood has been targeted by landscape thieves...my immediate next door neighbors had their patio umbrella and a small fountain stolen a couple of weeks ago. Another neighbor had some patio furniture taken. It's ridiculous.
Sorry to hear about your planters. When I lived in New Orleans I had two hibiscus plants dug out of the ground!! and stolen.....it baffles me what some people will do.
Good grief Peggy - do you think our tree vandal has bunked off to N Carolina? Nowhere is safe from mindless crime - we once gas a plant dug up from our front garden - less frustrating than breaking my tree as hopefully it was replanted but still annoying that you can't put something on your property without chaining it down.
This picture is so beautiful, whether I'm tired of snow or not. I love the dark shadowy background with the big white blobs in front of it. It really is pretty. I'm so sorry that some thug is stealing from you. And what odd things to steal. It isn't like they can take them to a pawn shop for a quick sale. Very sad really. I'm sure that you are the kind of person that would rather give someone a few dollars for a meal than have them steal something from you. What buggers!!

Thanks for your comments, ladies. It was my kind of snowfall ~ short and sweet. Maybe the last hurrah as temps are supposed to be near 70 degrees (21 C) by the end of next week.
I've calmed down and accepted the loss of my planters. I'll be replacing them in a couple of weeks with new ones and warm weather plantings...but I kind of feel like I'll be putting them out there saying "hey, you like these better"? I will get the cheap, made to look like real, fake stone planters. Of course, that'll just make them easier to carry off....Oh well. :)
Very pretty Peggy, I'm so over snow but your picture makes it looks so peaceful and almost magical. So sorry to hear about those creeps taking off with your planters...what the heck is wrong with people who do this anyway? Sheesh, go figure!
