Living in the city is great, but it's nice to make an escape every so often. We are heading up to the 'high country' of North Carolina in a bit to spend the weekend at Shelton Vineyards. It's an opportunity to get out of the city and to celebrate both Tom's miraculous man VS car victory and his birthday! He will tell you that he's a few years younger than Mick Jagger and Keith Richards ~ which lets you know that he's getting older, but still rockin'. :)

Hope he isn't quite as pickled as Mick and Keith!! Mind you after yesterday a good solid birthday celebration is in order I believe. I've heard a nice dry white is remarkably therapeutic!!
