We've had stacks of solicitation letters from local attorneys since Tom's accident. This is yesterday's take...soon to join the others in the recycle bin. No case here, folks. No harm, no foul. If anyone might need follow up care it's probably the driver who hit Tom. Apparently he was rather traumatized by the whole affair.
Not a very good photo for today. But at least I've posted something and can now get to work on some much needed housecleaning duties. Happy first day of February! :)
I had to turn my head to one side to look at all this paperwork Peggy !! I think it's got to the stage in this country when these guys follow ambulances. I am sure there are loads of folks who would take up their offer of cash too much to the detriment of insurance costs to all ! you are very noble that you have resisted & thankfully no need to take them up on their offers !!!
Just the same here @happypat. I was shunted from behind on the motorway - hard enough to make poor Monty fall off his seat and the soft rear of my car was a bit wonky but no injuries at all. I got four phone calls asking if I was sure I didn't have whiplash or maybe just a bit of neck pain ... or anything??? My friend in Annapolis was nearly killed by a woman in a massive truck (he was cycling and had dislocated shoulder, brain injury, chest injury) and he didn't sue either because he is so disgusted by these people (and his wife's a lawyer!) The money doesn't grow on trees WE are paying - I'm in danger of getting started on your health care system/lawyers now Peggy - sorry - I'll drag myself away!!!!
Truth in advertising?!?! At least they spelled it out clearly on the envelope so you can just dump it in the bin. SO thankful Tom is okay. Now I can pray for the driver. And your garbageman.
Yep same thing happened to me after getting a speeding ticket. It was like 2 days afterwards and they started coming in the mail. Times are tuff out there what ever it takes to make a buck.
Good for you! I've been hit twice riding my bike and luckily walked away both times. I feel the same way, the drivers were more dramatized than me. Don't get me wrong though, some drivers need a little more than a slap on the wrist. A friend of mine got hit by a car and the driver got out of his car and didn't even get off the cell call he was busy on!
