Frosted Split Rail

I can't seem to get enough of the frost we are having. The world looks ever so lovely etched in white. I liked the lines and tones in this photo. Happily, I even managed to catch some sparkle in the tumbleweeds.
that is an amazing capture

@steampowered Thanks Paul! We don't get them this large and abundant very often so I am making the most of their visitation.

@jenniferruge @skipt07 @lisjam1 Thank you all for your comments! We are clearly all "frost folk"! Lisabell - I have never heard the term "hoar frost" but did some reading about it now and think that is indeed the kind of frost. The learning doesn't stop in the 365Project!

So beautiful! Great job capturing what you saw. I can almost feel the cold!

Another term is "rime", Lisa. Good job showing the individual crystals. We didn't have any here today, but I went higher in the mountains in Wyoming, and the crystals were popping out in the air and falling like snowflakes. Amazing stuff.

Beautiful! It does look like a wonderland.

Wow Lisa, this is wonderful. I love the composition and light. I have never seen frost look like that before. It almost looks like the fence is covered with little flying bugs. Great photo.

@masosy Thank you for the comment, Kate. I agree that the individual frost pieces look like insect wings. Nature is amazing, isn't it!?
