This is the view looking up a stairwell at the Idaho State Capitol building. I like the repeating and converging lines and shapes in this image.
Viewing so many amazing photographs on this site has made me more aware of perspective. I'm trying very hard to find different and more interesting viewpoints wherever I am. Pre-365, I probably would have just walked up the stairs, but now I remembered to stop and look up!
Wow - very neat - at first glance I thought the shot was through a mirror and then realized it is up over the balconies towards the ceiling. What a beautiful State Capitol building you have!
Excellent shot Lisa! I know prior to 365 I had not paid much attention to things low to the ground. I've enjoyed how this project has expanded the things I see. Once again, fantastic image!
@jankoos Thank you, Jan! It is a really pretty building. We don't have many like it - or at least that come to mind for me. I will definitely go back to try other shots in the future.
Fantastic perspective Lisa! I went over to our county court house and it was so dimly lit it was hard to hand hold the camera with out turning the ISO up or using flash which I don't like to do.
The lines, straight and curved, and shapes are terrific Lisa. And the pillar leads you up and into the image. Tricky one to get the exposure right but you've made a super job :)
@skipt07 Thank you, Skip! I ended up turning up the ISO, too. Probably would not be worth enlarging, but I prefer to avoid the flash, too. Congrats on your PP!
@annethomson Thank you so much, Anne! I'm glad you liked the shot, too. There are lots of lines and wonky angles for sure. I was concerned that it was perhaps too busy, but like it because of that.
@katieannb - Thanks bunches, Katie!
