Liquid Sunshine

Another day, another water feature! I came across the third fountain this week and just had to photograph it. This fountain is made of blue-black granite in a flat-topped, cylinder shape. The water sits serenely on the surface of the cylinder and then spills over the edge. When I took this shot, it happened to be "golden hour" nearing sunset and the top of the fountain was reflecting the warm light. I like the contrast of the seemingly golden water that magically turns to blue as it falls.

Beautiful. Where you have used a very fast shutter speed you have "trapped" the water in an almost "plastic" or glass like state. Really nice.
