Part of the 4th of July celebrations in my town included a chalk art festival. The sidewalks were lined with people creating their own works of chalk art. This was one of my favorites.
Those chalk fests are amazing! We have them here in FL also. I like how you shot this on an angle and included the photo that the artist was working from.
Wow, that is so cool. Someone is very talented. I am always amazed by what can be done with chalk. So cool how you captured the actual drawing and what the artist used. Fav for me, Lisa.
Great capture -- what a cool idea to have a chalk festival. And I like the way you caught the details of her expression. How long do they last? Are they protected at all?
@taffy Thanks for your comment, Taffy. Unfortunately, these do not last very long. These are on the sidewalks of a public park. While we don't get much rain in the summer, I think the sprinklers and pedestrians will do them in in short order. Such a shame, really. There were a lot of wonderful works of art!
