Hello 365 friends! I have missed you and your inspiring photography the last few weeks. I hope you are all doing well.
After wrapping up my first year, I felt the need to rest and recharge. Other areas of my life were wanting of my attention and it seemed the perfect time to refocus and reflect. I am still trying to figure out how to strike the right balance with this hobby going forward, but I couldn't stay away any longer.
I saw this frosty scene on my way home from a weekend in the mountains and had to stop for some photos.
Welcome back! I will start you off with a fav for this wonderful red barn in that mass of white. This place just isn't the same without you. If you figure out how to strike a balance, please let me know, because I need to cut back soon too.
This is a gorgeous capture, I love all the frost everywhere and the pop of the red barn. It is so nice to see you back, I hope you can find a way to balance 365 and everything else. I know it is very difficult.
Welcome back! I started back in the 22nd, and honestly, it was still too early, but I wanted to get back to posting and seeing everyone's work. I hope we can continue to follow and inspire another year. I know I'll be watching what you are doing, but I know I'm going to forgo much of the commenting this year. That balance thing is hard right now for me. So happy to see you back. Fav. That red pops out, just like you. :)
So good that you are back! and you came back with a bang!!! I took and break and have been posting about every 5 days...the same day I post, I go back over the past week of everyone who comments and if there is time, I skim the home page and comment on the ones who jump out at me, when I have a minute. Sometimes a lose track of some of my contacts, but I go find them and get them back! It seems to be working out at getting me back in balance with life and my hobby.
Wow, what a re-entry!! This is a phenomenal shot and instant fav! I've missed you! It's certainly a different feeling this year without seeing all my 'regular favorites' daily. But despite posting, I'm taking a pretty relaxed attitude toward the project, doing a weekly photowalk and then posting from that unless something else strikes me. What I love this year is the feeling that it doesn't matter if I skip a day and cut back on comments. But somehow without the pressure, it feels more fun! Anyway, great to 'see' you and hope you've had a great start to the new year!
Lovely to see a shot by you pop up on the feed - welcome back! What a gorgeous come back shot and I love that splash of red. I have been posting and commenting two or three times a week which feels far more relaxed.
Really good to see you back....this is a wonderful capture, and a definite FAV! This is a really consuming hobby, and it is good to pull back when it feels more like a chore than a fun thing to do.
Hello Lisa, glad you are back. Fab image, beautiful winter landscape. Its so hard to find a happy medium sometimes when life gets in the way.
Today I reached 365.
Welcome back Lisa! So great to see one of your wonderful shots again. This is a great start to your 2nd project year. Love that pop of red! Yeah, I think many would agree re finding the balance thing - but I am sure you will do a great job. Just do what feels right for you and enjoy.
Awesome shot. Ditto as per what has been said so far.
Welcome back! I think Taffy @taffy has found a good measure for her second Year ... I'm trying to do the same.
FAV - great come back shot
Hey Lisa, was thinking about you this morning, and wondering when you'd be back - and here you are, with a beautiful composition of this stunning snowscape.
incredible colors.... is it only frost or did you post process it ?
like the contrast of the vivid colors of the barn and the no-color space around ....well done !
Missed you Lisa, it is hard to strike the balance but at least you have had time to address other issues. We are still all here to catch up with you.
This is superb, love and a fav
@cocobella Hi Corinne, thank you for your comment. This is really the scene as I saw it. I did saturate the barn color and just added a bit of contrast in LR. So glad you like it.
Hello Lisa, good to see you back. That certainly looks cold! I must say I've been finding it difficult to get back into this and am uploading very sporadically - commenting is even more sporadic. But I'm not ready to let it go yet - I'm hoping to find the magic balance! Hope you do
Oh my goodness, Lisa, this is an amazing one! Glad to have you back, but you need to make the journey about you and not the site or the rules or anything!
Ha Lisa, good to see you're back :-)). Hope (and understand) you had a good time! Fully understand that it is 'seeking' how to balance this Project in a new way.
Last but not least: Beautiful picture, love the house in all that white, Great comp as usual.
it's hard to stay away but when you stop there is a lovely sense of detachment - for a while :o) this is gorgeous & i love your pics so just make it work lisa!! fav
Wow, what a comeback! Lovely to see you and your work again.
Love the pop of red against all that icy-blue-whiteness and the way it all seems to disappear into the sky.
Spectacular photograph Lisa! I love how you captured the snow or frost that is clinging to everything and that pop of color from the barn grabs your attention and immediately pulls you into the photograph! +F
This is stunning. That red barn just makes the shot! A fav for me! I haven't been around much lately myself. I'm afraid it would take a lottery win to be able to have enough free time for all I want to accomplish!
welcome back, friend! i hope you've found the balance you needed.
what a beautiful landscape you've captured here, a fav.
heres to 2014 and more photo adventures xox.
