This is one of the main bridges in my town. It recently underwent a much needed restoration. New lighting was added to the bridge which nicely illuminates the architecture and reflects off the water. I decided to try a night shot of it.
Heartfelt thanks to all who commented and fav'd "Moon Song". I was thrilled by your responses!
@friend2303 Thank you, Vijay. No filter used. I think the starbursts are a result of the aperture. I tried apertures up to f/20 that resulted in even larger starbursts. It's a fun effect. :)
@amandal Thank you so much for your sweet comment and fav, Amanda. I am no expert at night photography but I think the bursts were the result of the f/14 aperture and 30 second exposure. Ideally, the aperture should be even smaller - f/18-f/-22 to create those bursts but f/14 seemed to do the trick. If you compare the bursts here to the B&W image of the bridge, you can see a little bit of difference. They are two different images. This one was taken at f/14 the B&W at f/20. Both 30 sec exposure. The bursts on the B&W are a bit bigger.
I don't have a favorite. What you have done with these two shots are amazing! Another fav! I wish there was something more I could give other than a fav. How about 5 heart exclamation points ❣❣❣❣❣
I love all the silver and golds throughout this shot. Especially the delicate contrast between the golden tree (on the left) and the white-blue light below it. Wow.
