THIS WAS MEANT TO BE A DAFFODIL PICTURE BUT ENDED UP A CROCUS
I was going to post a daffodil picture today as the daffs in the garden are looking rather nice. However after a few shots of the daffs, I was impressed by how nice the crocuses still looked.
A quick repoint of the camera and I had a few macro shots of the inside of a crocus.
I liked this shot best as the orange bit is in the 'rule of thirds' position and is quite eye catching against the purple.
I could not avoid getting a bit of 'green' leaves in the frame, but I hope they are not too distracting (well they will be now I've mentioned it !!!).
SOOC other than a tad increase of saturation.
I'm now up to date with my postings after running a day behind.
Lovely macro. I have been having fun for several days ignoring winter with macro flower shots. I get upset with distractions and wish I noticed them before hand. We are too self critical!
@gill Thanks Gill, what clinched the daff turning into a crocus was the orange bit sitting on the 'rule of thirds' and the lovely contrast between the purple and orange. I'm tempted to post my daff a day late , but I might have a go at the daff again tomorrow ! The delicate bits do look nice.
@cath Catherine thanks for your high praise of this image. I did not realise it would be so popular, I think its the vibrant colours that makes it stand out so well :)
Good choice! Love the colors (Isn't Nature amazing in the combinations it provides?) Also like the little dusting of pollen you captured. A very intimate picture.
