My last photo was meant to be a daffodil, but turned out to be a crocus.
This is another macro flower, it's yellow, but I'm sure you can spot that it's not a daff.
I've done two macros on the run now (still not done a Thursday pic yet), bit I think that is probably OK in terms of 365.
Oh yes what's the flower? Well it's a winter pansy that lives in a pot in our porch. It has looked pretty sad most of the winter, but this last week it has all of a sudden decided to show off it's beauty.
I've upped the saturation and brightness in post processing to give it a bit of ummmpphhh and impact.
Compositionally it's similar to my last picture, but hey I like it and I was a bit rushed taking my pictures today.
Thanks Sarah, you interpreted my words very well, I try to keep my 365 interesting and therefore I was a little reluctant and apologetic to go with 2 macros in a row. Glad you like it :)
@gill Thank you Gill, that is very kind of you. I've noticed a flaw in my own pic now ! I should have cropped that little bit of 'none yellow' out from the top left hand corner. It's distracts the eye !! I did push the brigtness up because the yellows are lovely. There's not much detail inside the pansy, but that's what ypu get with pansies !! Thanks for your support.
@robinmersh cheers robin, I lost a bit of detail in the bottom left by pushing the brightness up, but that was OK in my eyes because I was trying for impact !
Wow! I almost had to put on my sunglasses for this beauty! I was really glad to see it since the day here in Richmond is gloomy and cold. Thanks for bringing a little sunshine into our lives!
@allie912 Thank you Allison, the sun we had in the UK this week has gone now the weekend has arrived !! So it has been gloomy and cold here today too. Glad the yellow meets with your approval :)
