The title is possibly a statement on the quality of this image, but also possibly a statement on how people respect (or don't respect) the area they live in.
This image is shot at the end of the row shops (near where I work) that I shot yesterday.
What shocked me was the litter / rubbish / trash strewn at the bottom of the stairwell. I don't know the procedure for disposing of rubbish in these apartments / shops, I don't live anywhere near where I work (I live a long way from the office), but surely the procedure doesn't involving dumping rubbish bags in a stairwell !!
Not the best of compositions (I should have got down lower) and I've colour popped the image to try and make a bit more impact !
However I wanted the image to speak for itself, although I've spoke quite a lot too.
Shot on my HTC desire mobile phone and colour popped in Photoshop elements !
Yep... an all too common sight. Where I live there are communal pallidin bins yet my wonderful neighbours still just open the bin shed door and dump thier bag on the floor - as if lifting the bin lid is soooooooo much effort...
Like the B & W for a bit of gritty urban realism - glad you didn't colour that puddle! Some poor soul's got to come and clear up all that rubbish that the foxes/cats have attacked and strewn around....
Yes, why are some people so distrespectful of everyone else's living space? The picture speaks for itself...such a shame! great shot though Phil - it's what I guess we call "real life"
@gill Gill thanks for your comments. I don't know if anybody saw me taking a picture of rubbish with my mobile phone !! Perhaps if they did , they may have thought I was from the council. I was wearing a 'high vis' bib though (because we have towalk across the factory floor when we leave the office) so I could have passed for somebody in authority ! The rubbish is a sad reflection of English life though !
@seattle Thanks Constance, I don't know if I should be photographing images like this, but sometimes we need to show 'sad states of behaviour', Thanks again
@phil_howcroft Ha ha I once took a pic of an ice cream van in Bedford cos it had ace hand done art work of a very naive character. The owner came running out to check I if I was from the council! I managed to persuade him I liked the van so much for its artistic merit that I wanted a photo of it for my collection!

Littering is such an anti-social and disrespectful behaviour.
