I'm still behind on posting and I don't know if this image works or not.
I've been impressed by some of the window reflection pictures I've seen on 365. Constance - @seattle - does some great urban window reflections. I thought it was about time I tried a window reflection, so here goes.........
This is a shot of some cut daffodils that are inside the kitchen. This shot is taken from outside on the patio. So what you see is the daffodils (and a poinsettia and a bit of pussy willow) and the kitchen doors and kitchen units reflected onto our back garden patio. You can see some daff's in our garden too.
It's a bit complicated and very 'busy' picture, but it is a different slant on a window relection !
interesting shot Phil - it's one of those the more you look at it the more you see. I see you've shot with your Lumix - I struggle with these kind of shots as it never recognises the focus point...if you had a manual focus you could choose the patio as the focus point it would get the other noise (like the oven and doors) out of the way! Think you've done a great job anyway - busy, but fun shot
Love this shot! I love seeing the daffodils inside and out. (By the way, great patio!) The garden reflections and the inside oven and door work beautifully together. This is what makes reflection shots so interesting. Well done and thanks for the kind words.
@sparkle Juliette, I just had the Lumix on 'intelligent' shoot, so it did all the hard work. The auto focus seemed to set itself on the daff's. The light was good and this is why everything else is in focus ...because the good light meant that the DOF was big !
@gill Thanks for your kind words and support. Reflections are always good to see and explore. I was really worried that too much is going on here, but like yourself I like how the door seems to 'open' onto the steps :)
@seattle Constance, it was seeing your shop window reflections that made me think about trying this shot ! I still can't work out how the camera and reflections produced this image, the outside daffs seem to be in the wrong place ! Glad you like the patio...I pressure cleaned it last week, so it should look good for the spring and summer :)
