The original image for Monday's photo : SOOM

Monday's highly processed B/W picture originated form this SOOM colour image (straight out of mobile).

I was never that happy with my conversion and wanted to share the original image with u.

The original image has it's own little bits of burnt out areas (top left hand corner sky), but I think this is a result of using a mobile phone in what was very difficult lighting circumstances......sun streaming through the trees of what was essentially a rather dark area.

I think the colour image has more detail than the B/W

I do like this one better in its original state Phil but I prefer photos plain & simple anyway ! Saying that its a very tranquil & quiet scene & you can see further down the path in this picture !

I'm with Pat and Lesley - I prefer this one, but the foreground grass/reflection is much less prominent here which is a shame

I'm with Frances...I like them both and for totally different reasons. As you now I loved the B&W version...it was very striking...this is not striking but it appeals to my comfort needs.

I love this original - i could tell form hte B&W that the lighting was good on this - I like that swirly reflection in the middle of the shot. has a nice calm feel to it
